SPARK INK COLOR PALETTE
Below are our standard Spark ink colors. Marked next to each color swatch is a P that signifies whether or not also offer a paper in a similar hue. Please keep in mind that when printing on colored papers, you should select an ink that is either in the same color family (for a tone on tone look) or a darker ink that will pop on the paper. We highly recommend any of our metallic inks when printing on our colored papers.
We are huge fans of blind letterpress (no ink, just impression) because it creates a subtle, classic look. We also recommend using our clear varnish or transparent inks such as transparent white, silver or gold for just a hint of color. Of course, if you are a purist, then stick to a blind hit. Blind letterpress is priced the same as if you were using an ink because it is still a separate (and picky) press setup.
Metallic inks, especially on our cotton stocks, are going to have a
matte finish. You'll still have that great metallic color, just don't
expect anything shiny. If you really want shiny, check out our section on foil stamping.

Custom Ink Color
We charge a fee of $50 to mix a custom ink color, not selected from our standard inks. Please provide a PMS number or mail us a fabric or paper swatch. Due to the nature of hand-mixing ink one job at a time, color matching can not be absolutely guaranteed. Please know that every effort is made to achieve a consistent and matching color.
Second, Third and Fourth Ink Colors
Our pricing is based on using the same ink color across a one color set, or the same two colors on a two color set. Here are some examples to help you understand when we would charge a fee for additional colors.
- If you want a one color note card and envelope set, but prefer to have fuchsia on the note card and orange on the envelope, we will add $50 to the order to cover the added press setup of a second color.
- Pocketfolds can always be run in whatever paper color and ink color you want only because our pocketfolds are run on a separate and larger press from the rest of the pieces in your order.
- Execeptions might be made for a large wedding suite where there are multiple pieces.
